I'm Zana, and I grew up watching my family teach hundreds of anglers in Pulaski to catch fish on The Salmon River year after year. After my grandfather passed away and my dad retired I knew I wanted to take over the store and do the same. So in Fall of 2020 I left my job and put everything into making that happen.

My grandfather originally started selling salmon tackle out of his hardware store in 1968 and then began giving fishing reports in what he called "the salmon hotline"
In 1972 he moved the tackle shop to Pulaski where it remains today as Salmon River Sports Shop. Thousands have come through the doors over the years and new generations of anglers continue to come year after year.

My dad and uncles grew up in The Shop helping my grandpa in the fall. My parents even met in the shop when they were 17.

I caught my first King salmon at age 13 with a lot of coaching from my dad. Though I'd seen a lot of fish being caught I knew after that day that I wouldn't have landed that fish without the help of my dad.
The importance of having someone rooting for you and giving you every edge to hook and land a fish was so apparent to me after that day. It's something I strive for when I'm in the store. My go
